Gold Rate Today: 24K Gold Rises to ₹87,500 per 10g Amid Global Uncertainty
Gold prices in India rose sharply today as international spot gold crossed USD 3,100 per troy ounce. The MCX gold futures for April delivery settled at ₹87,500 per 10 grams, up ₹300 from yesterday’s close. The rise is attributed to a weaker US dollar and rising geopolitical tensions in the Middle East region. Jewellers across India are reporting increased buying interest from retail investors and wedding season demand. The IBJA (India Bullion and Jewellers Association) has set the reference rate for 24K gold at ₹8,750 per gram and 22K at ₹8,021 per gram for today’s trading session. Silver also moved higher, with 999 fine silver trading at ₹105 per gram (₹1,05,000 per kg).
